Dr. Harshil Boghara co-founded Smile Culture Dental with a clear vision: to transform the traditional dental experience into something patients can genuinely look forward to. With a passion for people and a dedication to clinical excellence, Dr. Boghara has helped create a practice where transparency, technology, and trust come together to provide truly exceptional care.
He firmly believes that combining cutting-edge technology with a highly trained team is the key to delivering top-tier dentistry. His commitment to educating patients, fostering meaningful connections, and maintaining a warm, welcoming environment is at the heart of Smile Culture Dental’s mission. Whether he’s seeing patients chairside or leading his team, Dr. Boghara always prioritizes comfort, communication, and outstanding results.
Dr. Boghara’s leadership and commitment to excellence have earned him recognition as a Top Doctor in Philadelphia for the past four consecutive years—a testament to the impact he’s made in both his field and his community. He actively gives back through Smile Culture Dental’s Smile 4 Smile program, which supports underserved communities both locally and around the world.
A graduate of Temple University Kornberg School of Dentistry, Dr. Boghara is a member of the International Association of Facial Aesthetics, the American Dental Association, the Pennsylvania Dental Association, and the International Congress of Oral Implantology. He has advanced training in cosmetic dentistry, including the use of facial rejuvenation and injectables, as well as dental implantology, and is currently completing a fellowship with the International Congress of Oral Implantology.
Born and raised in the Philadelphia area, Dr. Boghara attended The Hill School and completed his undergraduate studies at the University of Miami. Outside of the office, you can find him staying active, exploring new restaurants, traveling, and spending time with his wonderfully large family.

Dr. Harish Balasubramani
General Dentist
For Dr. Harish Balasubramani, dentistry is where science, artistry, and human connection beautifully intersect. Inspired by his own dental experiences growing up, he was drawn to a career where he could make a real impact—sometimes instantly—on someone’s health and confidence. Today, he brings that same sense of wonder and purpose to every patient interaction, building long-term relationships and creating lasting results through innovative care and thoughtful communication.
Originally from Pittsburgh (#412 proud), Dr. Balasubramani completed his undergraduate degree at UCLA and earned his dental degree from the University of Pittsburgh School of Dental Medicine. He’s completed advanced training through the Alabama Implant Education program, New York Implant Institute, and Clinical Mastery Series, and he’s continually expanding his skills through hands-on courses in occlusion and ceramic artistry.
Outside the operatory, Dr. Balasubramani is a true creative. He’s passionate about painting, drawing, and visiting museums—and recently began working on large canvas pieces inspired by ancient Indian art. He dreams of one day having kittens (ideally ones who love getting their teeth brushed) and enjoys working alongside a close-knit team where every day brings good energy—and even better snacks, courtesy of Dr. Ellen.

Dr. Ellen Chang
Dentist
Dr. Ellen Chang is a dedicated dentist with a passion for helping patients regain confidence in their smiles and improve their ability to function. Born and raised in New Jersey, Dr. Chang has always been fascinated by the profound impact that dental care can have on a person’s overall well-being. She enjoys turning potentially intimidating dental experiences into comfortable, positive ones for her patients. Dr. Chang values the opportunity to greet long-term patients by name and witness their excitement and happiness when they see her, as she believes there is always something to learn from everyone she meets.
Dr. Chang holds an impressive educational background, having earned her degree from Case Western Reserve University and the Temple Kornberg School of Dentistry. She continually strives to expand her knowledge through continuing education courses, including the Implant XP Live Surgery Course, Implant Ninja Overdentures, Guided Bone Regeneration, and Sinus Lifts, as well as Spear online education. Dr. Chang is a proud member of the Academy of General Dentistry and remains committed to learning and growing in her field to provide the best care possible for her patients. Dr. Chang joined her current practice in 2022 and enjoys being part of a collaborative, patient-focused environment that emphasizes transparency and strives to make dental care as accessible and stress-free as possible for everyone.
Outside of the office, Dr. Chang enjoys hobbies often associated with a more leisurely lifestyle—reading, gardening, walking, and napping. She shares her life with a significant other who is a devoted ultramarathoner.

Dr. Adam Taee
Orthodontist | Specialist In Orthodontics, Temporomandibular Joint Disorder, & Dental Sleep Medicine
Although most Smile Culture Dental orthodontic patients come in for straighter teeth, Dr. Adam Taee’s experience and training give him an uncommon ability to assess and correct teeth alignment issues while also enhancing patients’ health and facial structure.
“When assessing a patient’s treatment plan, I go beyond tooth shape, color, and alignment,” explains Dr. Taee. “A healthy and attractive smile is the harmony of teeth, gums, lips, and facial structure, both in form and function.”
Dr. Taee’s passion for oral health began as a general dentist. After practicing for eight years, his interests in esthetics and oral health led him to pursue additional specializations in orthodontics, dentofacial orthopedics, and dental sleep medicine. This extensive education, training, and experience give Dr. Taee insight into the benefits of orthodontics for overall health, facial growth and development, airway assessment, and jaw alignment.
As a top Invisalign provider since 2017, Dr. Taee stays on the cutting-edge of best practices, including extensive training in Invisalign, dentofacial esthetics, airway health, dental sleep medicine, and the temporomandibular joint health.
Dr. Taee also offers a unique global perspective on orthodontics gained from growing up with ex-pat parents in six countries. His worldview was cemented while completing his Master of Orthodontics thesis. In it, Dr. Taee investigated the perception of beauty by laypeople after orthodontics, jaw surgery, and plastic surgery in seven countries around the globe, including the United States. This study still guides him to individualize treatment objectives for each patient.
Dr. Taee remains a big traveler, and Italy ranks among his favorite places to visit. He lives in Mount Laurel, NJ, and enjoys spin class and staying active when he isn’t practicing orthodontics or traveling.
